
Founded in 2009, Sree Dakshina Mookambika Dance Academy has trained and nurtured over 1,000 students in Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam. The institute is dedicated to preserving classical traditions while guiding each student with patience, clarity, and personal attention.
Smt. Sreeja Sreekanth is an accomplished classical dancer, teacher, and scholar with decades of experience in Mohiniyattam, Bharatanatyam, and Keralanadanam. She began her artistic journey under the guidance of her first guru, Kalamandalam Asha Pradeep, and further refined her training with RLV Jayadree and RLV Pradeep. She also possesses deep training in Keralanadanam under her respected guru Smt. Bhavani Chellappan. Academically, Sreeja Sreekanth holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mohiniyattam from Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University, Kerala, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Performing Arts. She is the wife of Sri Sreekanth, a renowned Mridangam artist and Assistant Professor at Geetam University, Bengaluru, whose musical background further enriches the artistic environment of the academy.

Smt. Sreeja Sreekanth has served as a Visiting Professor at GITAM University, Bengaluru, contributing to higher education in performing arts
She served as a visiting Assistant Professor in Performing Arts at Mount Carmel College of Teacher Education for Women, Kottayam, from 2019 to 2022.
Her artistic and academic excellence was recognized with the prestigious Vajra Jubilee Fellowship awarded by the Department of Culture, Government of Kerala in 2017.
She Served as an External Examiner for reputed institutions including Alliance University and REVA University, Bengaluru
